This drill extension is made from 1/2" linear shaft with straightness tolerance of 0.002" and C60 Rockwell hardness. The linear shaft is mated to a 1/2" coupler that will accepts 1/2" shanked bits and 7/16" hex shanked bits.
Other types of shanks can also be used in the drill extension with the adapter bushings we sell. These include bits that have 3/8" shanks, 5/16" hex shanks, and 1/4" hex shanks.

Note - All Drill Extensions come with a flat machined on one end of the shaft. This flat is for the set-screw of the 1/2 coupler we provide with our drill extensions.
